Browning-Miller Advancement of Archaeology Endowment

Established in 2012, the Browning-Miller Advancement of Archaeology Endowment is intended to raise the profile and prestige of the University of Evansville’s undergraduate archaeology program and increase its public awareness. Eighty percent of the endowment’s distribution will be used to grant scholarships to current students participating in archaeological fieldwork, internships, analysis of archaeological collections, report preparation for publication, or participation in relevant workshops, conferences, and training opportunities. The remaining twenty percent will fund internships for local or regional high school students who have shown an interest in archaeology. The first Browning-Miller awards will be made in summer 2013.

How can you help?

In order to continue to grow the Browning-Miller Advancement of Archaeology Endowment, the University is still accepting contributions set at four giving levels corresponding to levels of archaeological fieldworkers:

  • Director ($2,000)
  • Supervisor ($1,000)
  • Field Tech ($500)
  • Volunteer ($100)
