B.A. in International Studies
International studies (IS) is an interdisciplinary major that rests on the understanding that twenty-first century problems and careers are not restricted to single disciplines. This field of study offers a strong foundation in international relations, political science, and foreign languages. Seventy percent of IS students are double majors and leave with a diverse set of skills that allow them to excel in a wide variety of careers. IS students gain the following proficiencies:

Major Requirements (24 hours)
- PSCI 160: International Relations -OR- PSCI 100 World Politics
- Econ 101: Principles of Macroeconomics
- Econ 102: Principles of Micoreconomics
- One course from: PSCI 212, Soc 235, QM 227
- Two 3/400 level courses from PSCI International Relations or Comparative Politics
- Two courses from: ID H282/H382: British Experience or equivalent
- Plus 12 hours in concentration area
Foreign language requirement (18 hours)
- Minor: (18 hours)
- One course from: PSCI 100 -OR- PSCI 160
- One course from: PSCI 361, 363, 461
- One course from: PSCI 360, H385, 459, 461, 489
Plus three courses in consultation with the International Studies Director.
