The Department of Mathematics provides students with the opportunity to gain an appreciation of the discipline of mathematics and find themselves in the process. We view mathematics not only as a quantitative tool, but as an art form, a cumulative product and achievement. UE math students are motivated and have a high academic profile. Mentorship is the faculty’s primary focus and is driven by individual needs with the goal of helping each student find his or her passion.
