Tri-State Women in Computing and Engineering (TWICE), in association with the University of Evansville’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, will host a conference next month for Tri-State women working in science, technology, engineering, and math-related fields.

The conference will run from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, April 5 at the Dan Fox Center at SABIC, 1 Lexan Lane, Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Registration is $10 and includes lunch. Online registration and other information is available on the TWICE website, http://www.TWICE-evv.org. Registration is due by Wednesday, April 3.

The conference will include a panel discussion on women and leadership, featuring five local professionals: Susan Elkington, vice president of manufacturing at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana; Nancy Conder, investment planning manager at Vectren; Sally Rideout Lambert, director of Alcoa’s Political Action Committee; Elaine Daniels, vice president of global corporate functions and project management office at Mead Johnson Nutrition; and Libbie Craft, director of diversity and inclusiveness at SABIC.

In addition to the panel, the event will feature a keynote speaker from Talking Talent, a coaching consultancy focused on developing and maximizing the female talent pipeline.

This will be the second conference TWICE has sponsored since its founding in 2010 by the University of Evansville College of Engineering and Computer Science, with funding from an Alcoa Foundation grant. TWICE has also sponsored professional development and social networking opportunities and provided funding for school group projects, STEM outreach camps, and assistance to college women in these fields for travel to professional development events.

The group welcomes women in any science, technology, engineering, or math field who works in industry or higher education.
