UE offers a variety of options for students interested in summer classes.

The University of Evansville offers five week accelerated courses during Summer Session I and II. These courses offer students the opportunity to:

  • Earn credits towards graduation
  • Lighten fall and spring course schedules
  • Complete missing requirements

Registration Policies

  • Current UE students may register for summer courses beginning January 21, 2013. Complete the yellow add/drop form available in The Office of Registrar in Olmsted 106; signatures are required.
  • Maximum 9 credits or 10 with lab. If Current UE students want to take more than 10 credits, they must complete the overload petition form and the student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Current UE students, the last day to register for summer courses without full payment is March 28, 2013 for Summer I and April 30, 2013 for Summer II.
  • Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment. In such an event, you will be notified by the department/instructor and will receive 100% refund.
  • Non-traditional Special Students may register and pay in full for summer courses beginning February 18, 2013. Contact Judy Caldwell at jc313@evansville.edu or 812-488-2615.

Important Dates for Summer Session I

  • January 21, 2013 - Registration begins for Current UE Students.
  • February 18, 2013 – Registration begins for Non-traditional Special Students.
  • March 28, 2013 - Current UE students, last day to register for Summer Session I without full payment.
  • May 13, 2013 – Classes begin for Summer Session I.
  • May 17, 2013 - Last day to register or add a Summer Session I course at 4:30 PM CST.
  • May 17, 2013 - Last day to drop a Summer I course without a "W" grade at 4:30 PM CST.
  • June 7, 2013 - Last day to drop a Summer I course with a "W" grade at 4:30 PM CST. After this date, the grade for discontinuation of attendance will be an "F."
  • June 14, 2013 – Classes end for Summer Session I.

Important Dates for Summer Session II

  • January 21, 2013 - Registration begins for Current UE Students.
  • February 18, 2013 – Registration begins for Non-traditional Special Students.
  • April 30, 2013 - Current UE students, last day to register for Summer Session II without full payment.
  • June 17, 2013 – Classes begin for Summer Session II.
  • June 21, 2013 - Last day to register or add a Summer Session II course at 4:30 PM CST.
  • June 21, 2013 - Last day to drop a Summer II course without a "W" grade at 4:30 PM CST.
  • July 12, 2013 - Last day to drop a Summer II course with a "W" grade at 4:30 PM CST. After this date, the grade for discontinuation of attendance will be an "F."
  • July 19, 2013 – Classes end for Summer Session II.
