The University of Evansville promotes healthy lifestyles as well as preventing illness among students, and we believe, people seek healthcare at earlier states when they possess insurance. Early assessment and treatment is particularly important for the health of the University campus.

The University of Evansville recommends that all full-time students carry health insurance while attending the University. The student may rely on his or her own, or family's personal health insurance policy.

International students are required to carry health insurance. The university works with LewerMark Student Insurance for students on F-1 and J-1 visas. International students will be automatically enrolled in this health insurance plan unless they can provide proof of qualifying, comparable insurance from their home country or through a government-sponsored plan. These insurance plans must be submitted to Cultural Engagement and International Services by August 1st for the Fall semester and January 1st for the Spring semester to be considered.

All UE athletes are required to carry insurance. For athletic insurance information, contact UE Athletic Training Staff at athletictraining@evansville.edu. International student athletes will also be enrolled in health insurance plans by the Athletics Department.

If an accident occurs on University of Evansville campus, please fill out an accident report form and return to Kim Wiinsett at kw83@evansville.edu or the Student Health Center at healthcenter@evansville.edu.
