Mission
The mission of the Alumni Association is to foster a lifetime relationship with graduates, former students, current students and friends by continuing to renew the rewards, friendships and pleasures experienced at the University of Evansville and to encourage each of them to support positively and unceasingly our University in its mission of educational excellence.
Membership
The UE Alumni Association consists of all graduates and former students of Moores Hill College, Evansville College and the University of Evansville as well as those granted honorary status by the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Membership is automatic for graduates. There is no membership fee. Currently, there are approximately 25,000 active alumni in the Alumni Association.
Alumni Board
A 42-member Board of Directors serves as the governing body of the Alumni Association. There are 30 at-large directors from all regions of the country and abroad. Members of the Alumni Board serve three-year terms and assist with planning and implementing many alumni programs, services and events.
Board Mission
The University of Evansville Alumni Association Board of Directors represents the alumni at large and serves as an advisory board to the University and the Board of Trustees. The Alumni Board fosters long-term relationships, involvement and support of the University.
Board Committee Structure
The board recently reorganized its structure to include the following Committees: ARSAF (Alumni Research and Scholarly Activity Fellowship) Awards, Nominations and Outstanding Teacher Award.
Alumni Board Nominations
Throughout the year, nominations are sought for membership on the Alumni Association Board of Directors. All alumni are eligible for consideration. If you are interested, you may nominate yourself or other alumni. Submit nominations of others to the Office of Alumni Relations, 1800 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47722, or e-mail alumni@evansville.edu. If you are interested in Board service, complete and return the attached interest form.

Alumni Awards
The Alumni Association recognizes the outstanding service and accomplishments of it's members annually at the Founder's Day Luncheon & Awards Ceremony held in late January or early February. The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award, Distinguished Young Alumnus/a Award, the Samuel Orr Honorary Alumnus/a Award and the Edie Bates Alumni Volunteer Service Award are presented at that time.
Distinguished Alumni Award - The Distinguished Alumni Award was established by the Alumni Association Board of Directors in 1990. This is the highest honor which the Association can bestow upon an alumnus/a. The award recognizes an individual's achievements in his/her professional field, service to his/her community and exceptional leadership and service to the University.

Distinguished Young Alumni Award - The Distinguished Young Alumni Award was established in 1997. This honor is presented to an alumnus/a under the age of 40 who has made significant strides in his/her personal and professional development and who has demonstrated service to the University and his/her community.

Samuel Orr Honorary Alumni Award - This award was established in 1971 as the Honorary Alumni Award; in 1997, the award was renamed in honor of Dr. Samuel Orr. Dr. Orr served the University as a trustee for 59 years. This award recognizes a non-alumnus/a for his/her personal and professional accomplishments and service to the University. It is the highest honor the Association can bestow upon a non-alumnus.

Edie Bates Alumni Volunteer Service Award - The Edie Bates Alumni Volunteer Service Award was established in 1998. The award is named in honor of Edie Bates'42, a University trustee. This award was established to recognize an alumnus/a for his/her exemplary volunteer service to his/her community and the University.
