Annual Fund - General Scholarship Fund

The importance of scholarships cannot be overemphasized, given the rewards reaped by both donors and recipients. Higher education benefits both students and the society in which they live, work and raise their families. Annual support is increasingly important as the University of Evansville continues its mission of recruiting the brightest and most promising students and providing them with the highest quality educational experience. It is through gifts to the Annual Fund that we are able to provide competitive scholarships and financial assistance, which will help attract outstanding students to our campus each year.

Harlaxton College Annual Fund - Support for Harlaxton College

Harlaxton Manor was built in the 1830's for Gregory Gregory, a wealthy Nottinghamshire businessman, to replace the original Elizabethan Manor House in Harlaxton Village. Today it is owned and operated by the University of Evansville to give students the opportunity to study abroad and to experience other cultures outside of the United States. Gifts to this annual fund will help with the maintenance and renovations of the College, as well as help provide scholarships, to preserve this unique educational experience for its students.

Fund for Educational Excellence - Scholarship Support for Students

The University of Evansville's Fund for Educational Excellence provides scholarships, equipment and other needed resources to enhance learning opportunities for students. In the 30 years since it was established, the Annual Fund for Educational Excellence Campaign has raised more than $3 million for this worthy purpose.

Athletics Scholarship Fund - Scholarship Support for Student Athletes

As a member of the Purple Aces Club, you can make a real difference in the lives of our student-athletes. The funds raised are used to provide scholarship aid for University of Evansville student-athletes and to support our 15 varsity sports. Purple Aces Club members have joined for many reasons, including: concern for the University and its image both on a local and national level; the opportunity to help UE's student-athletes; and civic pride, knowing that a successful athletic program is a tremendous community activity. Endowment Fund

Making the most of your gift -- In an endowment fund, the principal is invested and only a portion of the investment earnings is spent. The rest of the earnings is reinvested back into the fund, so that the endowment grows and becomes a perpetual source of funding. You can give a gift to the general unrestricted endowment fund; or if the gift is sufficient to fund a specific activity, such as an endowed scholarship or professorship, you can establish a specific fund and name it.

Restricted Gift

A gift can be restricted if you would like your donation to support a specific department, program or special project. With a restricted gift, you may designate a gift for a specific purpose and outline the details for use of it.

The Robert Cooke Enlow and Rossanna McGinnis Enlow Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with scholastic ability with preference given to journalism majors.
The Marie Alexander Memorial Scholarship Fund	The scholarship shall be awarded to needy students in the Education Dept. who are studying a teachers training program and are graduates from Evansville public grade schools and public high schools.
The Bristol-Myers Squibb Chair in Economics	The Bristol Myers Squibb Chair in Economics was established by an endowment gift by the Bristol Myers Foundation. The income from the endowment shall be used to support the salary of the holder as well as funding for professional development.
The Lawrence W. Anderson Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an outstanding economics or business senior student and will be selected during the spring semester for the following academic year and will be announced at Honors Day.
The June Marilyn Anderson Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an incoming Freshman with financial need. Recipient should also have participation in extra-curricular activities and possess leadership qualities.
The Altrusa Foundation of Evansville Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a female student enrolled in the School of Business Administration. Second preference shall be given to a female student majoring in a professional program.
Charles and Marsha Arthur Endowed Business Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a enrolled student in the School of Business Administration. The basis for the award shall be financial need and scholastic achievement.
The Marcia Files Ashley Harlaxton Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student enrolled in the School of Nursing planning to attend Harlaxton College and has financial need.
The Pauline L. and Roy H. Grimm Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a male or female athlete, preferably a basketball player with financial need and scholastic ability, who is a US citizen. No restrictions on class, residence, sex or religion.
The Ralph and Jane Olmsted Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to full-time students in good standing demonstrating financial need who are engaged in the Pre-Medical Education Program at UE.
The Bowen Engineering Corporation Endowed Dean's Discretionary Fund for The College of Engineering and Computer Science	This endowment fund is created in honor of those quality engineering students who come from the University of Evansville and work for Bowen Engineering Corporation and to provide financial assistance for the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science to carry out his/her endeavor to advance the College's academic excellence.
The Elsie C. Barning Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a female graduate of Reitz High School with a preference for students majoring in political science who possess financial need, scholastic ability, participation in extra-curricular activities, leadership qualities and patriotism.
The Frank Batson Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to music students with financial need, scholastic ability, participate in extracurricular activities, have leadership qualities, loyalty and patriotism, with no restrictions as to major, class, residence, sex, nationality or religion.
The Paul V. Batts Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded with first preference to a junior or senior majoring in business administration. The basis for the award will be financial need and scholastic achievement. The scholarship is renewable if awarded to a junior if there is continued need and the student maintains the minimum standards of academic progress.
The Ralph L. and Anna M. Bauer Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with a 2.7 GPA, must be majoring in engineering, computer science, or one of the physical sciences, must be a citizen of the US with preference give to students from the Midwest and to Protestants
The Annagene Beckman Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to US citizens with a financial need and scholastic ability and be students in the School of Nursing. There are no restrictions as to residence, sex or religion.
The James G. Bennett Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate from Edwards County HS in Albion, IL and must intend to major engineering, math or nursing. The recipient will be selected on the basis of scholarship, leadership potential and character.
The Bernhardt Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a freshman majoring in business administration, computing science, economics and/or international business.
The Bowen Engineering Corporation Endowed Dean's Discretionary Fund for The College of Engineering and Computer Science	This endowment fund is created in honor of those quality engineering students who come from the University of Evansville and work for Bowen Engineering Corporation and to provide financial assistance for the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science to carry out his/her endeavor to advance the College's academic excellence.
The August Brogno Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a junior majoring in Business Administration with financial need and scholastic ability. No restrictions as to race, residence, sex, religion or nationality. Other considerations are extracurricular activities, leadership qualities and patriotism.
The R. Jack Brunton Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a music major and a string player, who exhibits financial need and scholastic ability. No restrictions as to class, residence, sex or religion. Recipient must be a US Citizen.
The Robert B. Burris Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to students majoring in business (50% of the annual income) and students majoring in theatre (50% of the annual income). Financial need and scholastic ability will be considered with no restrictions as to class, sex, religion, residence, or nationality
The R. Malcolm and Loretta M. Koch Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need, scholastic ability, participation in extracurricular activities and leadership qualities. No restrictions as to sex, religion and race. Recipient should be a US Citizen.
The Wilfred C. and Lois A. Bussing Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in communications, second preference to a student majoring in business and third preference to a deserving student regardless of major.
The R. Malcolm and Loretta M. Koch Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need, scholastic ability, participation in extracurricular activities and leadership qualities. No restrictions as to sex, religion and race. Recipient should be a US Citizen.
The James A. Byers - Athletic Student Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a junior in varsity athletics, demonstrating leadership, determination, commitment, competitiveness and desire to win. If a junior does not meet the criteria, a sophomore will be selected.
The Mabel Louise Kuebler Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student in his or her junior year who is majoring in nursing, has financial need and a 3.0 GPA. First preference shall be given to a student from Dubois County; second preference shall be given to a student from Southern Indiana.
The Dale D. Campbell Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a member of the men's varsity basketball team who shows traits of loyalty and support of others in his personal conduct and participation in athletic and academic life during his freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year.
The Mary Campbell Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to first preference of a Jasper, IN full-time student then second preference given to any student who is matriculating and involved in athletics.
The Harry Andrews King/Moores Hill College Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a full-time student in good standing enrolled or qualified to enroll at UE either majoring in nursing or pre-medicine
The Annamagaret and Raymond O. Clutter Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in either business or theatre who has outstanding academic credentials. No restrictions to class, residence, sex religion or nationality.
The Ralph H. and Roxie A. Coleman Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship will be awarded to a math major.
The Samuel Johnson Endowed Scholarship for Humanities	The scholarship shall be awarded to enrolled student at the University of Evansville who is an English major with a record of superior academic achievement who also has demonstrated financial need. Second preference will be any enrolled student at the University of Evansville who is taking humanities course work, has a strong academic record and who has financial need. Third preference will be to any enrolled student at the University of Evansville who has demonstrated financial need.
Dr. and Mrs. David Cory Endowed Science Fund	The Dr. and Mrs. Cory endowed Science Fund shall distribute annually in support of needed repairs or replacement of science equipment as outlined in the Kresge Science Initiative.
The Shirley Snethen Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an outstanding and deserving student as recommended by the music faculty and approved by the Friends of UE Music Board.
The Thurman and Dee Craddock Endowed Scholarship for students in Business Administration	The scholarship shall be awarded to a first year student who is a resident of Vanderburgh County, Indiana for at least one year before being accepted to study at the University of Evansville, who has financial need, a strong academic background as demonstrated by being in the top 25% of his high school class and who is enrolled as a student of the School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville.
The Warren and Roberta Crews Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a male basketball player who exhibits high moral values, integrity, loyalty and patriotism.
The Wade D. David & Mary K. David Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a Junior or Senior majoring in History or Political Science. No restrictions on sex, religion, race, or nationality.
The Florence Klamer Shafer Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a female from Indiana, preferably Vanderburgh County, with financial aid and scholastic ability. No restrictions to class or religion.
The Wayne A. and Judith S. Davidson Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student without restrictions.
The Gregory Davis Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an incoming freshman selected by the Department of Music. Award will be given on top of all other University financial aid.
The Martha and Merritt dejong, Sr. Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who exhibits financial need and scholastic ability. No restrictions to class, sex, residence, religion, or nationality.
The Margaret "Meg" Dettwiler Memorial Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is active in athletics. First preference to female student athlete, second - a team support personnel who is female such as managers or trainers, third - female student with interest or background in athletics.
The Phi Mu Alumnae Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a member of Phi Mu sorority of rising junior or senior status. She should have been active in Phi Mu for a least one year, have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. Involvement in the chapter or campus will also be a consideration.
The Leo H. Wittgen Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need. Renewable with a "C" average.
The Wendell L. and Martha S. Dixon Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a freshman who is majoring in music and/or business from the tri-state area. Financial need will be considered along with scholastic ability, extracurricular activities, leadership qualities and loyalty.
The Wilfred O. "Gus" Doerner Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a men's varsity basketball player who exemplifies the character traits of courage and determination in his personal conduct and participation in academic and athletic life at UE during his freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year.
The Rose Endrun Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with financial need and scholastic ability. No restrictions as to major, class, sex, religion, residence or nationality.
The Dominican Republic Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is in good standing and is a resident of the Dominican Republic.
The Dr. Donald W. and Carol S. Dunham Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a sophomore or above with a major of pre-med, pre-dental or medical tech. (in that order) with a 3.2 GPA. Preference given to grads from Vanderburgh Co., then from Indiana, then from any US high school.
The Rosemary Goode Pace Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a nursing upperclassman. Renewable to the same recipient.
The Oramay Cluthe Eades Distinguished Professorship in Music	The Oramay Cluthe Eades Distinguished Professorship in Music was established by an endowment gift from the Eades Foundation. The income from the endowment shall be used to support the salary of the holder as well as funding for professional development.
The Thomas H. and Evelyn H. Ingle Memorial Nursing Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a full-time undergraduate nursing student with preference to students specializing in public health nursing. The recipient should be academically qualified , and financial need may be considered, but should not be the sole requirement.
The Elizabeth and William Embry Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a US citizen with a "C" average. Financial need is the basis for awarding this scholarship. The recipient should demonstrate loyalty and patriotism to the United Sates of America.

The Eykamp Center for Teaching Excellence Endowed Fund	The Eykamp Center for Teaching Excellence Endowed Fund supports the Eykamp Center for Teaching Excellence whose primary mission is to create a forum for sharing of instructional innovations with an interdisciplinary focus. Income is to be used for stipends, mini-grants for programmatic efforts and faculty travel. A Director, who is appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, leads the Center.
The Eykamp Philharmonic String Quartet	The Eykamp Philharmonic String Quartet Endowed Fund provides income for the support of the Eykamp String Quartet of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra as the Resident Quartet of the University of Evansville. The Quartet has one-quarter time teaching responsibilities at the University.
The Nancy Day Farmer Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a nursing student, special consideration will be given to individuals who have already had nursing practice experience and who have returned to school to further their nursing education.
The Leland M. and Alice N. Feigel Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a sophomore or above from Vanderburgh County who is majoring in business administration, main priority will be for students with academic ability, with leadership qualities as evidenced by participation in extracurricular activities.
The Florence and Walter Bass Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an environmental science or studies major and an upperclassman (sophomore or older). Based on financial need.
Kathryn S. Kissel Memorial Music Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a male or female music student with an applied instrument of piano or violin.
The Leo H. Wittgen Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need. Renewable with a "C" average.
The Annually Funded Raymond and Minnie Mabel Freels Scholarship	The scholarship will be awarded to a freshman year student who has financial need studying in the field of physics, chemistry, biology or engineering. An award of $2000 w/b made for 5 consectutive yrs beginning 2007/08 academic yr.
The Ralph H. and Roxie A. Coleman Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a math major.
The Robert and Nyla Gallman Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in a field taught in the School of Business Administration or College of Education and Health Science. For renewal, student must maintain a 3.0 GPA, and financial need is a consideration.
The William H. and Dallas B. Suhreinrich Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded upon financial need, scholastic ability, loyalty, and patriotism. The recipient(s) must be a U.S. citizen. There will be no restrictions such as residence, sex, or religion.
The Gerling Pre-Law Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to first year student(s) who is enrolled in the University of Evansville majoring (or with a minor) in Political Science, Legal Studies, or Criminal Justice and who wants to pursue a career in law. Second preference will be given to any first year enrolled student(s) who has stated a desire to pursue a career in law. Third preference would be to any upper division student(s) who have stated a desire to pursue a career in law.
The Mabel Dillingham Nenneker Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a theatre major who is in his/her senior year, who has a minimum GPA of 2.25, has financial need, character and talent.
The Louise Gentry Erskine-Allen Gentry Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a permanent resident of Spencer County, Indiana. ACT score of 20 or higher, SAT 900 or higher. Student must major in Civil Engineering or Education. Physical Education majors will not be considered.
The Doris J. and Alfred H. Grabhorn Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student from Vanderburgh or Warrick County with preference to graduates from Bosse HS, recipient will not receive an athletic scholarship, no restrictions to class, sex or religion.
The Wallace B. Graves Scholarship for Political Science	The scholarship shall be awarded to a Junior or a Senior majoring in Political Science and will be based on academic performance, participation in extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, loyalty and patriotism. There are no restrictions on nationality, race or religion.
The Jonathon Forbes Gugin Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a Sr. majoring in environmental admin./studies with a 3.0 GPA and a strong commitment to a career in an environmentally related profession. First preference will be given to a graduate from Reitz High School.
The James M. Hall Jr. Outsanding Engineering Student Award	The scholarship student will be selected by the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The student will be at a junior class standing & include the following characteristics: scholastic achievement, extra curricular activies, character, responsibility, attitude, & potential growth.
The Rideout Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a female freshman majoring in education from Warrick County, IN or a male education major from Warrick County if no females are available. Must have financial need, scholastic ability, participation in extracurricular activities and leadership qualities.
The Charlotte M. Harkness Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate from Greenwood HS in Greenwood, IN that majors in nursing. If no graduates from Greenwood are eligible, preference shall be given to other nursing students at UE.
The Harkness/Maxey Endowed Scholarship	This scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate of Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City, IN. If no graduate from Wood Memorial are eligible, second preference shall be given to a student from Gibson County, IN. Third preference shall be given to any student with financial need.
The Harkness - Maxey Family Class of 2006 Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded with first preference to an enrolled student at the University of Evansville who is a African-American matriculated student that has financial need. The second preference will be to any domestic minority student who is matriculated at the University of Evansville who has financial need.
The John & Isabel Harkness Scholarship	This scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate of Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City, IN. If no graduate from Wood Memorial are eligible, second preference shall be given to a student from Gibson County, IN. Third preference shall be given to any student with financial need.
The M. Stephen Harkness Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who graduated from Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City, IN with financial need. If there are no qualified candidates, this scholarship will not be awarded. The maximum amount of recipients for this scholarship is four per year.
The William O. and Delma Hartsaw Mechanical Engineering Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a sophomore or junior mechanical engineering major who is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
The James N. and Dorothy M. Cooper Academic Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in physical therapy and additional scholarships at the University's discretion.
The Annually Funded Daniel C. Headlee School of Business Student Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded as follows: First preference will be given to a freshman yr. student majoring in Business, maintains at least a B average & has financial need. Seconde preference w/b given to a sophomore yr student, third preference w/b given to a junior yr. student and the last preference w/b given to a senior yr. student.
The James N. and Dorothy M. Cooper Athletic Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a varsity baseball player and to a varsity softball player.
The Reverend Melvin R. Seeger Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an Indiana resident majoring in liberal arts, communications or music with financial need.
The Everitt "Buddy" Barnes Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship will be awarded to a superior theatre major at the end of their freshman year. The Drama Assistantship Committee of the Theatre Department of the University of Evansville will select the recipient.
The Nancy L. Dale Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need.
The Larry H. Higgins Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate student enrolled in the school of Business with financial need.
The Curtis F. and Inez Brown Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate of an Evansville high school, majoring in education and nursing and have financial need. No restrictions such as sex, religion or nationality.
The A.B. Brown Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student in the engineering co-op program with at least a 3.25 GPA. Should be based on work ethic not solely on financial need.
The Frank and Sue Hirschman Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a freshman and US citizen who possesses financial need and scholastic ability. Other considerations are participation in extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, loyalty and patriotism.
The Dick and Miriam Hardy Hood/William and Lina Hardy Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in foreign language or foreign languages. There are no restrictions as to residence, sex, religion or nationality.
The Ralph and Jane Olmsted Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to full-time students in good standing demonstrating financial need who are engaged in the Pre-Medical Education Program at UE.
Horn Rizek Endowed Fund for Diversity	The income of this fund will be restricted to the support of the new Office for Diversity that has been established at UE.
The Reverend Thomas Cleveland House and Myrtle May McLelland House Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need.
The Dr. John R. Huff and Evelyn D. Huff Memorail Scholarship	The scholarship will be awarded to a student with financial need, in good academic standing and who is majoring in elementary education. Second preference will be given to a student with financial need and in good academic standing with an interest in elementary education.
The Marvin and Janet Huff Friends of UE Music Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an entering freshman, second preference transfer student, majoring in music to be used for educational expenses, including books, tuition and fees.
The Kenneth L. Hutchinson Engineering Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an engineering major and a citizen of the US who exhibits leadership qualities, loyalty, patriotism and participation in extra-curricular activities. Financial need is an additional consideration.
The Melvin W. Hyde Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student enrolled in the School of Nursing. The recipient shall be selected solely on the basis of demonstrated scholastic achievement.
The Dorothy V. Jewell Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need.
The Florence Klamer Shafer Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a female from Indiana, preferably Vanderburgh County, with financial aid and scholastic ability. No restrictions to class or religion.
The Lucy Kelly Endowed Nursing Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to students majoring in nursing who have demonstrated financial need, are in the upper twenty (20%) of their class, and maintain at least a B average.
The Kenneth C. Kent Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a junior business administration major and a US citizen; consideration will also be devoted to the recipient's participation in extra-curricular activities, leadership qualities, loyalty and patriotism.
The Mabel Dillingham Nenneker Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a theatre major who is in his/her senior year, who has a minimum GPA of 2.25, has financial need, character and talent.
The Gail and Leo King Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an US citizen that is majoring in business or arts and sciences, no restrictions to class, residence, sex or religion.
The Jeffery Bohnert, Mark Kirkpatrick, Mark Kniese Scholarship Fund	The scholarship shall be awarded to enrolled or enrolled to be a student athletic manager or trainer who has demonstrated sound character and integrity, self-motivation and a spirit of cooperation.
The Bob Hudson Memorial Scholarship and The Thomas M. Kishline Memorial Scholarship(s)	The scholarship shall be awarded to a HKSS major, specializing in education, communication, or sports administration, must have 3.0 GPA and be of honest and good character. There are no restrictions as to race, national origin, sex or religion.

The Jeffery Bohnert, Mark Kirkpatrick, Mark Kniese Scholarship Fund	The scholarship shall be awarded to enrolled or enrolled to be a student athletic manager or trainer who has demonstrated sound character and integrity, self-motivation and a spirit of cooperation.
The David and Byron Furr Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need, scholastic ability, participation in extracurricular activates, and evidence of an established value structure.
The George Koch Sons Minority Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a minority student.
The John K. and Carol S. Koehler Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who needs tuition support and is not eligible for grants-in-aid. Preferably both parents are educators. Minimum 3.0 GPA as freshman. Renewable if GPA is 3.0 or better.
The Donald B. and Jean Ogle Korb Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a junior or senior US citizen majoring in liberal arts or business. Recipient should also exhibit financial need and scholastic ability. Renewable with satisfactory academic progress towards graduation.
The Roberta Veazy Annually Funded Music Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded with 1st preference given to a 1st yr music major who has financial need & has a desire to pursue a career in music performance. 2nd preference will be given to any music major w/financial need & has desire to pursue career in music performance & education. 3rd preference will be to any enrolled student who has financial need.
The Dr. Clifford W. Kraft Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a rising junior or senior in the School of Education and must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need and outstanding character.
The Joseph B. Kushner Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to the most academically qualified rising senior enrolled in the Department of Engineering at UE.
The Oberhelman Family Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an entering freshman with an SAT score of 1000 and a "B" average in high school. Need may also be a factor.

The Dean Long Adult Student Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an adult student (25 years or older) who has financial need and scholastic ability.
The Dean and Katherine Long Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student pursuing a business degree with financial need and scholastic ability who has leadership qualities and participates in extracurricular activities. Loyalty and patriotism are also considered. There are no restrictions.

The Zerah Priestly Carter University of Evansville African American Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an African American student, Sophomore. Academic standing minimum 2.0 GPA, involvement in African American community. May reapply. UEAAA board selects recipient in April.
The Dr. Rose M. Mays Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an African American student with financial need and academic merit. The student must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
The William G. and Rose M. Mays Martin Luther King, Jr. Lectureship	The Mays Martin Luther King Lectureship will annually fund the keynote speaker during the University of Evansville's annual Martin Luther King Day celebration, beginning in January 2004. The Martin Luther King Day Program Committee will select the keynote speaker one year in advance.
The Rose & William Mays Endowed Professional Development Fund for Nursing	The Rose and William Mays Endowed Professional Development Fund shall be used to meet the need for professional development activities in the categories listed, in order of preference: professional development seminars at the UE, professional development seminars and conferences related to nursing at other sites, tuition assistance for doctoral coursework.
The de Merode Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with a major or minor in French with a grade of "B" or better in French, 300 or 400 course levels, be a US citizen and exhibit financial need.
The Addison Jay McClain Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship will be awarded as follows: First preference will be given to any undergraduate student at UE who has a minimum of 3.0 GPA & fincianial need. Second preference will be to any undergraduate student w/financial need.

The Frank S. and Barbara St. Clair McKenna Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who exhibits scholastic ability, participation in extracurricular activities and leadership qualities and must have a record of high academic classroom excellence. The Dorothy Matilda McKown Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student in the upper 25% of graduating class who exhibits financial need, scholastic ability and the intention to enter a service field. Renewable with 2.5 GPA in freshman year and a 3.0 GPA thereafter.
The Richard E. and Oma Meier Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a business student.
The Wilma Moesner Miller Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to students majoring in elementary education or computer science with preference given to grads from Heritage Hills HS, then to residents of Spencer Co., then to any student meeting the criteria.
The Dan W. and Nancy B. Mitchell Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an English major, a US citizen and a Christian with financial need and academic performance.

The Jo Ann B. Mortensen Memorial Scholarship Fund	The scholarship shall be awarded to a gifted, full-time female student at UE with preference given to women.
The Marv and Edie Bates Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a baseball player and an undergraduate full-time student in good standing.
The Reverend John Austin and Grace Tharp Hand Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an UE student with at least a 3.2 GPA with preference given to graduates from Pike Central High School in Petersburg, IN. Second preference shall be given to graduates of any Daviess County, IN high school.
The Olga and Neale Cavanah Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with financial need, who is academically qualified.
The Mabel Dillingham Nenneker Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a theatre major who is in his/her senior year, who has a minimum GPA of 2.25, has financial need, character and talent.
The John L. and Lupheba F. Newman Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an upperclassman majoring in business and a US citizen from Indiana, Illinois or Kentucky who exhibits financial need and scholastic ability. Renewable with satisfactory progress.
The Martha and Merritt deJong, Sr. Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who exhibits financial need and scholastic ability. No restrictions to class, sex, residence, religion, or nationality.
The Sarah "Sally" Nonte Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a nursing student that has an interest to attend Harlaxton College.
The M.C. and Marie Oberhelman Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an entering freshman with an SAT score of 1000 and a "B" average in high school. Need may also be a factor.
The Winston S. and Marjoria S. Ogilvy Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to any academically worthy student attending UE who needs financial support to further his/her education.
The Marian McLaughlin Ostrom Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to clarinetists or composers or other woodwind instrumentalists if no clarinetist is eligible. They must show promise and achievement and be full time students enrolled as juniors, seniors or graduate students in UE's School of Music.
The Eric Ottens Memorial Scholarship	This scholarship shall be awarded with first preference given to a Junior or Senior basketball player who has demonstrated financial need, and who has a at least a GPA of 2.5. Second preference will be to any basketball player who has demonstrated financial need.
The Charles M. Shike Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who exhibits financial need, scholastic ability, and leadership qualities as demonstrated in the Circle K Club.
The Melba and Thornton Patberg Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a worthy upper class student having a GPA of 2.75 or above, who does not normally qualify for financial assistance. There are no restrictions placed on sex, race, national origin, religion or state of residence.
The Wayne Paulen Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with financial need as primary consideration. Other factors, such as academic performance, may also be considered.
The Rudolph C. and Mary Ross Ellingson Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a major in arts and sciences with preference given to foreign language. Must display financial need and scholastic ability. No restrictions as to class, residence, sex, religion or nationality.
The Opti-Mrs. Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a nursing student at the University of Evansville to help pay required fees or to purchase text books
The Kuehn Foundation Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a US citizen with financial need that is a sophomore or higher attending Harlaxton. Must have an interest in art history, painting, sculpting, ceramics and/or drawing.
The Freda W. Kuehn Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a junior, senior, or a graduate student in the field of nursing that demonstrates financial need.
The Sidney and Nadine Kolb Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need and scholastic ability. The recipient shall demonstrate leadership qualities. Renewable with satisfactory academic achievement.
The E. Donald and H. Jane Raeber Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student from southwest Indiana, especially Vanderburgh County, who has financial need, scholastic ability and academic performance. The recipient shall be a Christian and a citizen of the United States.
The Business Leadership Award for Tomorrows Leaders	The scholarship shall be awarded to a male or female senior business student in good standing at the University of Evansville. This student will have shown outstanding leadership skills in education, culture, entrepreneurship, and the community. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The Henry C. Kleymeyer Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student studying in the field of business (50%) and to a student studying music education (50%) . Preference shall be given to students that are members of the United Church of Christ.
The Ronald G. and Rosalynn Reherman Scholarship for Engineering and Business Students	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student without restrictions.
The Ridgway Scholar	The scholarship shall be awarded to a British student with desire to study abroad at UE with preference to those residing in the counties of Lincoln shire or Huntingdonshire.
The Samuel Johnson Endowed Scholarship for Humanities	The scholarship shall be awarded to enrolled student at the University of Evansville who is an English major with a record of superior academic achievement who also has demonstrated financial need. Second preference will be any enrolled student at the University of Evansville who is taking humanities course work, has a strong academic record an who has financial need. Third preference will be to any enrolled student at the University of Evansville who has demonstrated financial need.
The Dr. William L. Ridgway Scholarship for Signature School Graduates	This scholarship shall be awarded to an Signature School graduate in Evansville Indiana who has financial need and who is accepted to the University of Evansville for any undergraduate programs.
The Tamara L. Robeson Endowed Upper Division Scholarship	This scholarship will be awarded to one or more junior or senior students who demonstrates the personal qualities of dedication, compassion and empathy for others so characteristic of Tami Robeson in her role as Benefits Coordinator at the University of Evansville. Extra consideration will be given to those juniors who have lost a parent during their enrollment at the University of Evansville.
The C.A. and Kate Robinson Engineering Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an engineering major and a US citizen with financial need and scholastic ability.
The Lettie J. and Clarence G. Rodgers/Charles A. Weber Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a freshman or upperclassman from the tri-state area who has financial need and exhibits academic qualifications to attain a college degree. The Martin L. Rooy Memorial Scholarship Fund	The scholarship shall be awarded to a good standing member in the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.
The Elizabeth Froman Fisher Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate student who is in good academic standing, majoring in special education. Student shall be a US citizen.
The William H. Russler Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an incoming freshman, who is an athlete, who exhibits financial need and potential leadership. There are no restrictions as to academic major, residence, religion, or nationality.
Nellie Jane and Eldredge J. Rust Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a junior or senior majoring in business or education with preference given to graduates from Castle High School, then to graduates from Warrick County and finally from Indiana. The recipient must be a US citizen.

The Dale W. Sauer Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a junior or senior elementary student, must have graduated from EVSC and be a child of an EVSC employee. If no student meets these criteria, the money will accrue until this requirement is met.
The Luise Freeman Schnakenburg Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate student who has completed at least 30 semester hours of study, has a minimum cumulative average of B, has demonstrated commitment to community service, and a United States citizen. Shoe Carnival Endowed Scholarship for Business Admin. Students	To be established in 2011 from the paid pledge. Created in honor of its employees and to provide financial assistance to one or more students w/ an interest in retail sales who is an enrolled student with a major of business administraton at UE. First preference: to any enrolled student w/a major in BA, retail sales interest, administration, or marketing & a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Second preference to - any enrolled student w/the above criteria.
The Carl and Myrtle Shrode Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with at least a 3.0 GPA with preference given to graduates from Central High School in Evansville. Financial need will also be considered.
The Broadway Theatre League Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a drama student by the Financial Aid Office per recommendation of Chairman of the Drama Department and the Director of Theatre.

Preface shall first be given to any student from Gibson County, Indiana, then to any student from Wabash County, Illinois. The Mildred C. Boeke Nursing Alumni Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a upper class nursing major. The scholarship will be based on financial need, scholastic ability, and leadership qualities. The scholarship is non-renewable.
The J. Larry Smith Memorial Tennis Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a varsity tennis player who is an upperclassman with commitment to academic achievement and has outstanding character and leadership ability.
Dr. Clarence J. Smith Music Student Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to students majoring in music who have demonstrated financial need, are in the upper 20% of their class and maintain at least a B average.
The Dr. Helen C. and Edwin P. Smith Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a female minority student who is majoring in the health professions with preference given to nursing majors.

The Chi Omega Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an active member of Chi Omega, a full time student at UE, a junior or a senior, with at least a 3.0 GPA

The Samuel L. Orr and Louise Dunkerson Orr Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with scholastic achievement, personality, character and financial need. The scholarship may be renewed if there is continued need and the student maintains a 3.3 GPA or higher.
The Samuel Orr Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to students who are US citizens from the State of Indiana with financial need, scholastic ability, loyalty and patriotism. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA. Renewable with a 3.0 GPA.

The John and Gerry Varner Endowed Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a high school student in the upper 10 percent of his/her class with first preference to a Spencer and/or Perry County, Indiana resident and have financial need. No restrictions as to race, minority or religion.
The Alma and DW Vaughn Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a sophomore majoring in Arts and Sciences. There are no restrictions as to residence, sex, religion or nationality.

The Shih-Chen Lai Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a Chinese student (preferably, but not limited to Chinese students from the East) who will enroll at UE. There are no restrictions such as major, sex, or religion. This scholarship should never be considered as an athletic scholarship.
The Ivan and Elizabeth Ward Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an upperclassman who is majoring in secondary education. Financial need, participation in extracurricular activities and leadership qualities are also considered.
The Harold and Marion McMurtrie Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student with financial need and scholastic ability with priority given to students who attended Southridge HS. There are no restrictions as to major, sex, religion or nationality.
The Dr. Mell and Pat Welborn Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student without any restrictions.
The Lowell and Eloise Weller Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an upperclassman chemistry major with preference given to those planning graduate studies in chemistry or biochemistry. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and a 3.5 GPA to renew.
The Mary and Woody Werking Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a female student(s) with financial need and scholastic ability. First preference will be given to students majoring or minoring in a foreign language.
The Harry Andrews King/Moores Hill College Memorial Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a full-time student in good standing enrolled or qualified to enroll at UE either majoring in nursing or pre-medicine
The Hubert D. deJong Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student who exhibits scholastic ability and financial need. No restriction to class, sex, residence, religion, or nationally.
The Woman's Rotary Club of Evansville, Inc. Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based on financial need and scholastic ability. Recipient must be a female and a US citizen. Renewable with satisfactory academic progress.
The Mary Lou Muth Wooley Drama Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to a drama major with financial need who has demonstrated scholastic ability. Renewable if a demonstrated ability in drama and academics is achieved.
The Worthington Family Harlaxton Endowed Fund	The Worthington Family Harlaxton Endowed Fund shall distribute annually for maintaining the Manor House, Manor Structures, and grounds and shall be above and beyond what is annually budgeted by the University for maintenance of Harlaxton, and be administered by the Principal of Harlaxton.
The Marvin and Janet Huff Friends of UE Music Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to an entering freshman, second preference transfer student, majoring in music to be used for educational expenses, including books, tuition and fees.
Mary Neeld Wyttenbach Endowed Scholarship in Nursing	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in nursing. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and exhibit financial need, scholastic ability, loyalty, patriotism, and a positive attitude. Preference shall be given to a US citizen. There are no restrictions as to religion or race.
Mary E. and Roy F. Wyttenbach Scholarship	The scholarship shall be awarded to one male and one female student athlete who participates on the University's swim team. The recipients must be US citizens.
Roy F. Wyttenbach Scholarship in Business	The scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in any discipline offered within the School of Business Administration.
