International Alumni

Dear International Alumni:

I am excited to have the great honor of writing a short letter to International Alumni.  I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jessica Hsiao from Taiwan. I graduated from the University of Evansville in 2001. During my student years, I participated in many international activities and events. Because of my international experiences and enthusiasm, I am willing to do more -  not only for existing and prospective students - but also for international alumni. As an international alumna, I feel that UE has been a significant part of my life. I hope you feel the same.

I had the opportunity to work at UE during the fall semester of 2003.  During that time I discovered we have been losing touch with many of our international alumni. I decided to make it my mission to reconnect international alumni with the University. I have worked on this mission with the staff in the Office of Alumni Relations.  Hopefully all international alumni can remain active and enriching participants in the UE community.

Due to personal and family reasons, I have to go back to Taiwan.  Even though I am not working at UE to continue this mission, I decided to become a part of the LEAGUE, alumni volunteers who help recruit new students.  I invite you to join me.  Please visit http://www.evansville.edu/alumni/volunteer.asp to show your enthusiam for the University of Evansville.  I believe we can promote the school and move forward to a better future.

Visit the general UE website, www.evansville.edu to keep informed of University happenings.  To update your personal information and register your email address in our directory, visit our Alumni Info Card . If you have address updates for any individual, please e-mail that information to alumni@evansville.edu. Together, we can work to locate as many international alumni as possible. Please visit the Office of International Student Engagement and Activities for contact information.

I would like to thank President Stephen Jennings, Mr. Jack Barner, VP of Institutional Advancement, and Mrs. Sylvia DeVault, Director of Alumni Relations for their continuing support of international alumni. We invite you to join us as we celebrate the 150 year anniversary of the University of Evansville.

Sincerely,

Jessica Hsiao '01
