Alumni with their awards

What Are They?

The Alumni Association recognizes the outstanding service and accomplishments of its members annually at the Founders Day Luncheon & Awards Ceremony held in early February. The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award, Distinguished Young Alumnus/a Award, the Samuel Orr Honorary Alumnus/a Award and the Edie Bates Alumni Volunteer Service Award are presented at that time.

Who Are They?

Our award winners are exceptional and active alumni who have been nominated by friends and classmates just like you. Is there a fellow classmate or alumnus who you know is doing worthy things in their hometown community, professional field and in service to their alma mater? We encourage you to nominate them today!

The individual award guidelines are listed below with the past recipients of each award. Look them over and think carefully about alumni you know who are doing good things where they are.

How To Nominate

E-mail your nomination of a fellow alumnus who shows exemplary service to their community and to UE. Send an e-mail to alumni@evansville.edu including the following information with your nomination: your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, name of the award, name of the person you are nominating, and a brief explanation of why you feel he/she is deserving of the award (including their known community activities and their UE service or volunteer activities).

To nominate someone by mail for an Alumni Award, please write the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 1800 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47722. You may also fill out the following PDF format nomination form and return it to our office.
