Foreign Language Career Opportunities
Our foreign language graduates enjoy career success in various fields. Many have gone on to graduate school in literature, law, business administration, public policy and psychology. We boast a 100 percent placement of our alumni who apply to graduate schools. Secondary education is a rapidly expanding profession for foreign language specialists, and our majors have been placed in excellent jobs both in the U.S. and abroad. Our program prides itself with a 100 percent job placement of teachers graduating from the University in the last ten years. Some alumni are employed as social workers in criminal justice, as a program officer in the U.S. Embassy in Mexico and as bilingual translators, while others work in the areas of marketing, advertising and sales, or as volunteers for the Peace Corps.
