The Person You'll Become

The mission of the University of Evansville is clear. We are interested in the person you will become: a person able to make tough decisions, embrace challenges, and reach for a higher purpose in life. It is not an easy process. Getting there means you'll be challenged, encouraged, and supported. At graduation, you will realize you're not the same person as you were when you entered college.

"What we do every day at the University of Evansville is intentionally provide life-transforming educational experiences for our students, both in the classroom and outside the classroom. Our graduates go on to engage the world as educated, productive citizens in their communities."
- Stephen G. Jennings, President

The Things You'll Experience

In the classroom, students at UE are challenged to do more than remember facts and figures. They are engaged in conversations that deal with the complex dimensions of real world problem-solving.

Dionna O'Daniel, president of Engineers without Borders, enjoys being able to use her skills and knowledge to design community centers and water-treatment facilities for third world countries. "It's great to know that our projects have helped those in need who do not have the resources available to make their dreams into a reality."

A sense of caring drives UE students to be involved in service projects around the corner and around the world.

A History of Inclusiveness

There is a shared commitment at the University of Evansville. Through a long-standing relationship with the United Methodist Church, the University embraces the belief that students of all faiths enjoy a sense of belonging on our campus, and their individual value systems are respected.

People here really care.

They respect one another and accept cultural and spiritual differences. They volunteer, are supportive, and make a difference. When you think about attending Evansville, don't forget to think about the company you want to keep, the kinds of people you want to be around, and the impact you want to have on others.
