The Institute for Global Enterprise is a part of the Schroeder School of Business at the University of Evansville. The Institute was created as part of UE's recognition of the value of a global mindset for both students and for regional business professionals.
For students, The Institute ensures that students experience international situations, challenges and opportunities that prepare them to contribute and succeed in a global economy. Development of international study programs and internships with companies that engage in international commerce are examples of Institute initiatives.
The Institute also serves as an innovative partner to regional business by providing ongoing educational opportunities and an external resource base to companies who want to successfully compete in a world-wide marketplace and environment. Ongoing executive education programs and fresh, insightful perspectives offered by internationally focused faculty members are among ways The Institute serves participating business and industry.
Other programs sponsored by The Institute include:
- The Global Assistance Program (GAP) that links UE students with local business to work on real-world global business issues
- The International Speaker Series that brings world renowned business leaders as guest presenters
- Visiting Global Business Fellows
The Institute for Global Enterprise is another example of the value University of Evansville places on broadened perspectives through a deeper understanding of the world.
