The University’s Center for Career Development provides resources and guidance to students and alumni seeking to achieve career goal. UE wants to provide additional resources so the Center staff can offer tools and programs to ensure effective support to UE students and alumni.
The University of Evansville’s Center for Career Development is committed to preparing University students to compete within a highly competitive global marketplace. The University of Evansville is dedicated to supporting personal, academic, and professional student development, including career exploration and employment assistance for UE students and alumni. It is the University’s desire to have the Center for Career Development link existing career tools and programs with new initiatives that will make UE a national leader in student career exploration the Center for Career Development.
The University of Evansville’s Center for Career Development (The Center) is committed to preparing its students to compete within a highly competitive job market, a market made more challenging by a too slowly recovering state and national economy. The Center offers tools and provides programs that will ensure effective support for the University’s students and graduates seeking internships, institutional advancements, and career opportunities, often leveraging UE connections with alumni and employers. The Center will organize its work around programs assisting students at all points in their UE experience, from entry to exit. These programs include the Career Advantage Program (CAP), the Advanced Career Education Certificates, and UE Connect.
The Center for Career Development is a significant and critical investment in student development; critical to building skills portfolios and developing professional tools for internship and job opportunities post-graduation. The University of Evansville believes that the Center for Career Development is fundamental to success in a challenging and often unpredictable economy, and an essential resource for UE students and alumni. Sustaining this effort will require substantial resource investment on the part of the University and its supporters.
