Road Trip Extravaganza Nearly 300 students participate in Road Trip 2007
The 21st annual UE Road Trip saw close to 300 students come out to experience college life on February 16-18. Charter buses brought students to campus from all over the Midwest to participate in a variety of academic and social activities. Bus routes started in Detroit, Columbus, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Richmond, Kalamazoo, and Kansas City. Road Trip attracted students from all over the country, as students from farther distances opted to fly or drive to campus. Students participating in Road Trip came from as far west as California and as far east as Maryland! In fact, there were students on campus from 25 states. All accepted students stayed on campus with current UE students. Throughout their two days, students had numerous opportunities to explore campus, attend various sessions, and really experience Evansville. If you missed Road Trip, you still have plenty of time to visit campus. During their two days on campus, Road Trip participants could choose from a wide variety of activities. Saturday morning offered students the chance to hear more about their potential major, as each department presented an academic session. Still Time to File the FAFSA Students wishing to apply for need-based financial aid still have time to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The University’s FAFSA number is 001795. To be considered for Indiana financial aid, the form must be received by March 10. The FAFSA can be filed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Questions? You still have plenty of opportunities to visit campus. A customized private visit can be arranged for you and your family. You can meet with professors, tour campus, attend a class, and stay overnight on campus with a current student.
