New Electronic Master Promissory Note (MPN) Required
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS: UE ENTERS DIRECT LOAN PROGRAM FOR FEDERAL LOANS
The University of Evansville recently researched and compared the two federal loan programs, the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and the Federal Direct Student Loan program (Direct Loans). UE has historically used the FFEL program, working with several recommended partner lenders. However, as a result of our research, UE will participate in the Direct Loan program beginning the fall semester 2009. When 2009-10 Financial Aid Notification Letters are sent to our students in June, we will include forms and information for the Direct Loan program for student and parent borrowers.
An action step must be taken by all students and parents who wish to use these federal loans for 2009-10. All students and parents MUST complete a new electronic Master Promissory Note (MPN) at https://dlenote.ed.gov. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 800-424-8634 or 812-424-8634 if you have questions.
Participate in the Harlaxton Parents Forum Today!
The Harlaxton College is now online! This forum is designed to be a community for parents to discuss their experiences as their children are studying abroad at Harlaxton or to ask questions if their children may attend Harlaxton in the future. The forum includes discussion topics such as travel tips, preparation, finances, and parent visits.
All parents of UE students are welcome to join the forum. We hope that by sharing your experiences and interacting with a community of other parents, you will gain a richer understanding of your child's Harlaxton experience.
To register for the forum please follow these steps:
- Go to http://harlaxton.9.forumer.com/
- Click "Register" in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
- Complete the registration form.
- Agree to the Registration Agreement Terms.
- Click submit.
- You will need to wait until an administrator approves your account. This may take up to 24 hours.
