FAQ PARENTS’ FUND

WHAT IS THE PARENTS' FUND?
The Parents’ Fund helps make possible all of the extra educational and academic opportunities that are central to your child’s Evansville Experience, and helps us provide and ensure that financial scholarships are available for students who need them. Contributions to the fund help cover the difference between revenue from tuition and what it actually costs to educate each student.

WHY GIVE TO THE PARENTS' FUND WHEN I ALREADY PAY TUITION?
Tuition covers only a percentage of the real cost of educating each student. Because we are not a state-supported school, we rely on monetary gifts and contributions to help bridge the gap, and to help us offer programs, scholarships and resources that may not be available without additional financial support. Parent participation – how many parents give any amount of money to the fund – is also an important determinant when publications, such as US News and World Report, rank colleges, or when foundations choose to award available grants and gifts to applying universities. Every gift at any amount truly matters!

WILL MY GIFT REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Yes! All gifts to the Parents’ Fund, no matter the size, are meaningful. The success of the Parents’ Fund lies in numbers. Each person adds to the total participation, and your support, with that of others, has a significant impact on the offerings, resources, and opportunities provided to our students now and in the future.
