Application Checklist:

Before we can begin processing your application we need the following additional information:

Complete your part of the High School Counselor Recommendation and Evaluation Form and forward it to your guidance counselor. Your counselor should complete the rest of the recommendation form and send the information with your official transcript and SAT/ACT scores to the following address:

Upon receiving the Undergraduate Application, we will confirm that your application has been received and inform you if your application is complete or if you are missing items. At the appropriate time, we will notify you of our admission and merit scholarship decisions. Please call the Office of Admission (800-423-8633) if you have questions about the application process.

Application for Admission Timetable

    December 3 - Early Action Deadline - Advantages to applying early:

    • Admission/scholarship notification mailed by December 17.
    • Academic departments with special scholarships or selective programs may limit candidates to those who have applied by the Early Action Deadline.
    • Students admitted under the Early Action Deadline have until May 1 to commit to Evansville. However, those who deposit early qualify for priority housing selection, orientation, academic advising, and registration.

    February 1 - Regular Application Deadline

    • Admission/scholarship notification mailed by February 15.
    • Applications for admission postmarked after February 1 are accepted on a space-available basis. The University of Evansville reserves the right to close the application period after February 1.

    March 1 - Financial Aid Application Deadline

    • All admitted students should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for additional financial assistance from the University of Evansville, federal, and state sources. Types of aid include grants, student loans, and work-study.
    • Financial aid award notifications are mailed beginning in mid-March.

    May 1 - Deposit Deadline

    • Admitted students must submit a non-refundable $300 admission deposit to secure a place in the freshman class and reserve a room in a residence hall.
    • Deposits are accepted after May 1 on a space-available basis.
