Need-based financial aid comes in several forms - grants, student loans, and employment on campus. Furthermore, need-based aid can be funded by federal, state, university, and private sources. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the primary application used by all colleges in the United States to determine eligibilty for need-based financial aid. By completing the FAFSA, you will be applying for grants, student loans and work-study from federal, state, and university sources. The FAFSA must be completed annually between January 1 and March 10 to apply for aid for the following academic year. Applicants for aid should follow this calendar:

January 2009 (spring semester) - File the 2008-09 FAFSA now
August 2009 (fall semester) - File the 2009-10 FAFSA after January 1, 2009,
but before March 10, 2009
