Archaeology and Writing
Class Year: 2024
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
Why did you choose to attend UE?
I chose to attend UE because of their Archaeology program! The professors were so kind, and the opportunities were very exciting!
Did you visit campus before choosing UE, and how did it contribute to your college decision?
I visited campus in the summer while school was not in session. I really enjoyed how close together everything was. I visited larger campuses before this, and I was overwhelmed by how large they were. At UE I liked the size of the campus and how it was not overwhelming.
What activities or organizations have you been involved with at UE?
I am currently in Phi Mu! I am also a part of Sigma Tau Delta which is the National English Honors Society. I am also a part of the Department of Archaeology’s club SAHA (Society of Art History and Archaeology). These organizations have greatly impacted my career in college in a positive way!
How has your program shaped and prepared you for a future career?
Both the Archaeology and Writing programs have greatly prepared me for my future. They have helped me learn what I want to do in my career. I have also had some amazing opportunities from these programs. In July 2023, I was in Israel for three weeks working at Tel Hazor, specifically in the Lower City. It was such a rewarding experience to be a part of.
Why do you recommend UE?
UE’s academics are very good! As a student in both Archaeology and Writing, I have not only felt confident in my decision, but I have also felt overwhelmingly welcomed and excited about my future!
