Since graduating in 2018, Jamie Durbin has been studying medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is thankful for her undergraduate biology studies at UE and the foundation it provided for her future as a physician.

“UE had excellent pre-medicine curriculum that set me ahead of a lot of my classmates once I got to medical school,” said Jamie. “In addition, the more personalized attention from professors made it easy to get letters of recommendation and research experience.”

Offering advice to future biology students, Jamie encourages working with professors. “And don’t be afraid to ask,” she says. With so many opportunities available for great research experience, UE is a great choice for those pursuing medicine. Additionally, Jamie found that everyone was very friendly and always willing to help when it was needed.
