The summer of 2021 I was fortunate enough to have interned abroad for Canon Medical Systems Korea through the Yonsei University International Summer School Internship Program (YISS/YSIP). I lived in Seoul, South Korea and work as a Medical Imaging Artificial Intelligence Research Center intern (MIAIRC).

In summary, Canon (the camera company) also has a department that makes CT scanners, ultrasounds, and other radiology equipment. I worked as a research intern for this department. My job tasks included things like conducting literature surveys on Canon's imaging devices, researching Korean vs. USA healthcare, attending meetings and training sessions with radiologists and company directors, and conducting presentations on research findings to company and hospital clients.

This opportunity gave me multiple connections across the globe and has increased my professional and corporate work experience.
