Construction Management

I transferred from a community college in Knoxville, Tennessee, where I was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK). At first, I wasn’t sure how much being in PTK would impact my future, but after applying to colleges, I quickly saw the benefits. Thanks to my PTK membership, I received a generous scholarship that has greatly helped me afford my education at UE.
I chose UE because of its warm, welcoming environment, the strong sense of community, and the incredible opportunities available to students. Since coming here, I’ve joined various academic and professional clubs that have helped me grow and become the best version of myself. I even landed a summer internship within my first semester! My favorite part about being a student at UE is the close-knit, family-like atmosphere.
If you’re considering transferring, I know the search can feel overwhelming, but I encourage you to do your research and visit campus. Things that were important to me included the campus culture, personal attention from faculty, and the city itself. Stepping foot on campus is the best way to experience UE firsthand. When you visit, you’ll have the chance to meet with faculty in your area of interest, review your transfer credits, tour campus, and explore anything else you’d like to see.
And once you're here, get involved! Join clubs, attend school events, and take time to explore the city—you won’t regret it.
