Why did you transfer to UE?

I transferred to UE because my husband said that there was no other school like UE (Boy, was he right!). He graduated in 2014 and had the opportunity to serve as the vice president of the Student Veterans Organization. UE also offered direct entry to the Dunigan Family School of Nursing, which is known within our local healthcare systems to produce some of the best nurses. I also loved that I would be receiving hands-on clinical experience from the start of my nursing school career and that UE has so many amazing scholarship opportunities. I have always aspired to be a nurse, so now that they are nearly all grown, it is my turn!

What are your goals after graduation?

My goal is to graduate from the University of Evansville with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and go on to earn my master’s degree so that I can be a nurse practitioner. After graduation and upon passing the NCLEX, I also would love to offer my talents in other parts of the nation and/or other countries working with low-income women and children.

What do you love about being an Ace?

My favorite color has always been black; however, UE makes it hard to not fall in love with the color purple! The campus atmosphere, the students, and the faculty and staff truly make being an Ace an incredible experience.
