Introduction

The Center for Academic Advising at the University of Evansville advises students beyond course selection and registration (although we do that too). Our office sees the advising relationship as a collaborative partnership through which students find themselves supported and challenged to achieve their dreams, goals, and potential.

We help students who are undecided about their major (Major Discovery students), those seeking help with change of majors or wanting information on adding a minor or even a second major, veterans, transfers, non-traditional, freshman, or anyone else who just doesn't know where to go for help.

Additionally, our office provides academic support services including an Academic Success Lab where students can meet with either a peer tutor for help in one of our traditionally challenging courses or a coach for help with study skills or time management skills. Group test review sessions are also led by peer tutors for many of our classes.
