"Find a Place That Feels Like Home" Advice From Current UE Students
What is your advice to a student making their college decision?
You'll know it's where you're meant to be when it feels like home.
Focus on what you want, not what other people want.
Find a place that feels like home to you.
Find a place that is what you need, both financially and academically.
Small = good! You get the chance to get really close with people and to know your professors.
Wherever you choose to go, you will get out of it what you put into it. You can choose who you interact with and what you do, so choose what you want to do.
Find a place where you are able to grow as a person and that will nurture you as you grow.
If a college can make you feel connected on the first day, then it's great.
It will feel like home. You won't have to second guess it. You'll just know.
What is the best piece of advice you have received since being in college?
Get out there and get involved!
Build good habits and make smart decisions. There's something for everyone. Just find good organizations!
Make the most of your time, take chances, and do what makes you happy!
Get involved in at least one club or organization, then soak up every second of college life!
Do everything you can with everyone you love.
Do everything and anything, go with the flow.
Don't stress about the small things, because it's all going to be okay in the end.
College is hard and it's okay to fail at things. That's how we learn!
GET INVOLVED!
If it won't matter in five years, don't give it more than five minutes.
ALWAYS be yourself. Stay true to your morals and who you are.
It's not about whether or not you fail. It's about how you respond to your failure.
Get out of your comfort zone and try new things!
Get involved and meet as many people as possible.
GET INVOLVED. You'll make so many connections and have great experiences.
Don't be afraid to make friends. College is about learning who you are and who you want around you.
Your college experience is what you make of it.
Take time to have fun and do self-care! You're here for an education but you are a person who deserves happiness first! Don't burn yourself out!
