About the Presenter

After graduating from Purdue University in 1970, I worked with the Indiana Pacers for 38 years (35 years as the head athletic trainer and 3 years in the front office). When I retired from the Pacers in 2008, I started my athletic training consulting business. I am an athletic trainer who evaluates the kinetic chain and recommends exercises that assist in correcting the body’s biomechanics. I give S-I joint (low spine) assessments and specific exercises (stretching) as indicated for various abnormalities. My evaluations are indicated for people with foot, knee, hip, low back and neck pain. My program is "Stretching with a Purpose" – S.W.A.P.

My experience has included professional sports, sports medicine performance center, industrial health, private practice with clients of all ages, USA Basketball, USA Track & Field, USA Gymnastics and USA Cricket.

I was the President the Indiana Athletic Trainers Licensure Board from 2009-2019.

I was the first President of the Indiana Athletic Trainers Association (IATA) from 1984-1986.

I served as Vice President of Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association (GLATA) 2011- 2015.

A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Honors & Awards Committee from 2011 -2015.

I was also inducted into the NATA Hall of Fame in June 2016.

100% of the registration fee will be donated to the Department of Physical Therapy’s Student Research Fund for DPT students to lead and participate in clinical research projects.
