Grace Burgess currently serves as the Ace CARE Coordinator. Grace is a second-year DPT student and is from Indianapolis, IN. Prior to attending the DPT program at the University of Evansville, Grace obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Indiana University in 2022. She started volunteering with Ace CARE during her first year and has never looked back. She volunteers with all three branches of Ace CARE and is so excited to have a larger role in the organization this year. Grace loves being able to incorporate all the knowledge accumulated in the classroom into the sessions throughout the week. She also enjoys seeing the participants get excited for the sessions and the improvements they make throughout each semester. Grace is keeping an open mind as to what setting she would like to work in after graduating, but as of now she is leaning towards outpatient orthopedics.
Carmen Alford, SPT

Carmen Alford is the Ace+PT Co-Coordinator – Referral Source. She grew up in Evansville, IN and graduated from the University of Evansville in 2023 with her B.S. in Exercise Science. She loves volunteering in Ace CARE because it allows her the opportunity to apply her skills to those in need and see the impact students can have on each individual patient’s life. As the referral source for Ace+PT, she is able to connect underinsured and uninsured members of the community with our physical therapy services for treatment of their musculoskeletal conditions. Upon graduation, Carmen plans to pursue a career in neurological physical therapy.
Kimberly Zamora, SPT

Kimberly Zamora is a Co-Coordinator for Ace+PT, serving as a client advocate. She is originally from Round Lake, Illinois. She went to the University of Evansville to major in Exercise Science and minor in Medical Spanish in 2022. She began her involvement in Ace CARE at the beginning of 2021, serving as an interpreter for the Spanish-speaking patients in Ace+PT. She soon grew to make meaningful relationships with the patients over the last few years and has grown an appreciation for the Ace+PT branch. Kimberly hopes to continue making an impact on the lives of patients and sticking true to her title of client advocate both in and out of the clinic.
Abigail Hatcher, SPT

Abigail Hatcher is the Co-Coordinator for Ace+PT, serving as a client advocate. She was born in Evansville, IN, but grew up in Plaisance-du-Touch, France. She moved back to Evansville to pursue the direct entry UE DPT program and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2023. She has been involved with interpreting and volunteering for Ace CARE throughout her time at the University of Evansville and has loved being able to connect with patients and make an impact on the community. She is excited to continue to find ways to give back to her community by providing quality care to the underinsured.
Gwyn Gorley, SPT

Gwyn Gorley is the Co-Coordinator for ACErcise. Gwyn grew up around Cincinnati, OH. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from UE in 2023. Gwyn began volunteering with Ace CARE as a tech during her undergraduate years before she began PT school. ACErcise has helped Gwyn discover how much she enjoys working with patients that have neurologic conditions. Gwyn loves helping to plan and create workouts for each session, although her favorite part is interacting with the participants and getting to know them as individuals. She loves to watch the participants benefit both mentally and physically from the program and cheer them on as they do so. Gwyn is excited to continue to foster her love for this population by creating a fun and active environment for them.
Elizabeth Siverly, SPT

Elizabeth Siverly is the Co-Coordinator for ACErcise. She is from Corydon, IN and received her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Evansville. She has been involved with Ace CARE since she was a tech her freshman year at UE. Elizabeth loves being a part of Ace CARE because of the impact she can make on others' lives and the opportunity to be creative with the skills she is learning. She is excited to take on the role of ACErcise co-coordinator to continue working with our amazing participants and encourage activity and fun in our ACErcise branch. She loves being able to be a part of such an amazing organization and is so excited to continue creating a positive impact in the Evansville community.
Caitlin O’Donnell, SPT

Caitlin O'Donnell is the current AceBuddies Coordinator for Ace CARE. AceBuddies provides a group exercise program for children and adults with disabilities. Caitlin completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Evansville where she majored in Exercise Science. She was a member of the University of Evansville Women's Golf Team and was an integral member of the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Championship Team. Caitlin's hometown is Centennial, Colorado. She has volunteered within all branches of Ace CARE but has a special place in her heart for AceBuddies because she enjoys working with the pediatric population. After earning her DPT, Caitlin is interested in working in pediatrics or orthopedics.
Madison Devillez, SPT

Madison Devillez is the AceBuddies Assistant Coordinator. She is originally from Newburgh, Indiana, and completed her bachelor's degree in exercise science at Bellarmine University. Through Ace CARE, she is able to interact with different participants and watch them succeed. She loves volunteering for all three branches of Ace CARE because it allows her to grow in her knowledge and skills as well as fuel her passion for helping others. She cannot wait to continue working with the Evansville community through the AceBuddies branch.
Alexis James, SPT
AceBuddies Operations Coordinator

Alexis James is the current AceBuddies Operations Coordinator. She was born and raised in Linton, IN. Before attending University of Evansville’s DPT program, Alexis received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University. She loves volunteering with all three branches of Ace CARE! Not only does this give her the opportunity to practice her skills outside of the classroom, but she also gets to see how people in the community can be positively impacted from these services. She loves being able to give back to the community that has been supporting not only her, but all of UE’s DPT students. Alexis’s favorite part about her position is being able to decorate for the sessions to provide fun picture opportunities for the buddies and the coaches. She also enjoys being able to interact with the caregivers and buddies each session with her position. Alexis is keeping an open mind to what setting she would like to work in after graduation, but as of now she is interested in pediatrics, orthopedics, or sports!

Elise O’Risky is the Student Relations Officer. Elise is from Evansville, IN and graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelor’s in Exercise Science in 2023. She got involved with Ace CARE to interact with the different populations that make up our community and to apply the skills taught to her in class. Her favorite part of being involved with Ace CARE is forming a relationship with the participants and their families. She is excited to play a larger role in providing our participants the best care possible.
Jacob Russell, SPT

Jacob Russell is the Media Coordinator for Ace CARE. He is originally from West Frankfort, Illinois but completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Jacob is involved with all 3 branches of Ace CARE. He volunteers in Ace CARE because he feels like it is a great opportunity to put into practice what is learned in class while also helping the community in Evansville.

Emma Korte is the Compliance Coordinator for Ace CARE. She is from Metropolis, IL, and completed her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at Union University in Jackson, TN. Emma volunteers for Ace CARE because she enjoys meeting new people and having the opportunity to provide quality physical therapy care to people in the Evansville community.

Sue Prasad is the Outcomes Coordinator. She is from Newburgh, IN and graduated from the University of Evansville with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2022. Sue has been volunteering with Ace CARE since her first semester in the DPT program. She currently volunteers in all three branches and loves having the ability to work with different patient populations and gain hands-on experience. In the future, Sue would like to work in outpatient orthopedics or with the neuro population.
Franco Komyatte, SPT

Franco Komyatte is the Budget Coordinator for Ace CARE. Franco is from Highland, IN. He went to the University of Evansville as a direct-entry DPT student to obtain his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2022. Ace CARE was a large part of why Franco initially chose to come to the University of Evansville. He began volunteering with Ace CARE as soon as he started in the DPT program. Franco primarily participates in Ace+PT and ACErcise. He especially enjoys ACErcise due to its community-based nature. Franco has gained so many clinical experiences, relationships, and good times through Ace CARE, which makes him extremely excited to help the organization grow as a member of the board!

Maggie Franz is the licensed volunteer officer for Ace CARE. She is from Mundelein, IL and graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2022. She volunteers with all 3 branches of Ace CARE and enjoys being able to work with different patient populations. Her favorite part of volunteering with Ace CARE is interacting with participants and watching them succeed. Maggie is excited to continue to build relationships with the participants and volunteers in her new position on the board.
Alyssa McMinn, SPT

Alyssa McMinn is a 2nd year Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Evansville from O’Fallon, Illinois. Alyssa graduated from UE in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She was very involved at UE as she was a 5-year member of the women’s golf team. She started volunteering with Ace CARE in 2020 as an undergraduate when she was a tech for Ace+PT and ACErcise. She is involved in ACErcise, AceBuddies, and The Van and currently holds the Fundraising Co-Coordinator position on the Ace CARE board. Alyssa’s favorite part about Ace CARE is working closely with each patient to help them achieve their goals and push themselves each day. She looks forward to organizing events to help raise money for Ace CARE, so it can continue to grow.
Erin Diehl, SPT

Erin Diehl is the current Fundraising Co-Coordinator for Ace CARE. She attended Morehead State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She began volunteering in Ace CARE her first semester of DPT school and fell in love with the ACErcise branch. Her favorite part of Ace CARE is seeing the impact it can make on individuals. This organization has served as a great reminder to Erin as to why she wants to become a Physical Therapist.
Reeva Hammelman, SPT

Reeva Hammelman is the current First-Year Representative for Ace CARE from Edwardsport, IN. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Sciences from Kentucky Wesleyan College while also playing basketball for the Panthers. Reeva decided to join Ace CARE to be a part of a close-knit community that provides encouragement, confidence, and relationships for all those involved. She loves seeing how Ace CARE uses physical activity to bring the community together and the impact it can have on students and volunteers alike.
