DPT Graduate Assistantship
Eligibility
- Applicant must be enrolled as a first year DPT Student at UE at the time of application
- Meet GPA requirement of 3.5 or higher and have no professional breaches
- Remain in good standing during the academic year serving as the GA
Process
- The GA application may be requested by emailing Jennifer Simon, Operations Administrator, at js698@evansville.edu. The deadline for submission is May 1, 2023.
- Selected applicants will conduct an interview with the Department Chair
Essential Duties
- Provide support and administrative duties within the Department of Physical Therapy.
- Assist with marketing- social media, photos, videos, viewbook.
- Serve as an ambassador at recruitment events, interview days, and Stone Center tours
- Support faculty in research and residency programs
- Attend campus, high school, and community events to promote physical therapy education
- Participate in mentoring group for Pre-PT students
Compensation
- The GA will receive a $4500 stipend, disbursed as $2250 in the fall and spring semesters, in exchange for 150 hours of work each semester or 10 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required.
