UE Freshmen Edge Students Make Donation to American Red Cross

Students in the University of Evansville’s Freshmen Edge class ID 150 recently made a donation to the Back to School Supply Drive for local military families sponsored by the American Red Cross. The group presented school supplies such as backpacks, pencils, and paper and approximately $1400 to the Red Cross on June 26 in a ceremony on UE’s campus.

 

Freshman Edge is a unique 8-day summer transition program designed for incoming freshmen who want to begin their college experience with an edge on success. Students who participate take a 3-hour college credit course, work with UE faculty, experience residence hall life, meet upper-class mentor students, and make new friends. This program allows students to ask questions, make connections, explore campus, become accountable, and be prepared make a smooth transition to college.
