Head Spirit Coach

Position Overview:

This position oversees the University of Evansville Spirit Squad that is composed of cheer and dance members. The UE spirit squad helps entertain Purple Aces' fans during timeouts and halftime at Men's and Women's Basketball games as well as add to the game day atmosphere of the Ford Center and Meeks Family Fieldhouse. The squad is required to travel to Arch Madness and Hoops in the Heartland (Men and Women's Basketball Postseason Tournament). The squad is selected through open tryouts and it is the responsibility of the Head Coach to select the squad.

Responsibilities:

The Head Coach is responsible for ordering and maintaining all equipment and uniforms, scheduling to ensure there is a full squad at each home basketball event and oversee all operations of the program. This position is responsible for ensuring the team is prepared for games. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred; Collegiate or HIgh School Dance and Cheer Coaching Experience required.
