Annual Giving Officer

The University of Evansville is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Annual Giving Officer to plan and execute a comprehensive program aimed at securing both unrestricted and restricted support from key constituencies, including alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the university. The position will focus on maintaining and expanding The President’s Club and increasing leadership giving. This role also oversees key fundraising initiatives such as annual giving appeals, day of giving, campus giving, and the phonathon campaign. The Annual Giving Officer reports directly to the Senior Director of Alumni and Engagement.

 Key Responsibilities:

- Fundraising Campaigns: Manage and execute a variety of fundraising programs utilizing direct mail, email solicitations, crowdfunding, social media, and phone outreach to increase donor engagement and financial support.

- Leadership Giving: Oversee specific campaigns, including President’s Club solicitations, the phonathon, day of giving, and campus giving.

- Online Fundraising: Maintain and update giving and crowdfunding websites, and create new online campaigns as needed to enhance donor participation.

- Awareness & Engagement: Develop programs to raise awareness and encourage financial support for annual unrestricted campaigns targeting alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and other supporters.

- Communication: Assist in creating content for e-newsletters and the UE Magazine related to annual giving efforts.

- Matching Gifts & Stewardship: Manage the matching gifts program and ensure proper stewardship of first-time donors and new President’s Club members.

- Specialty Campaigns: Collaborate with the Director of Donor Relations and Communications Specialist on specialty campaign marketing and solicitation efforts.

- UE License Plate Program: Oversee the program to increase awareness and grow the number of license plate donors.

- Event Support: Assist with alumni and development events as needed.

- Other Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Director of Alumni and Engagement.

 Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

- Experience: Annual giving, fundraising, or sales experience is strongly encouraged.

- Skills:

  - Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  - Well-organized, with the ability to set expectations, meet deadlines, and translate goals into actionable steps.

  - Familiarity with technology and digital platforms, including social media and email marketing tools.
