Head Volleyball Coach

The Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for carrying out coaching and administrative duties for the volleyball program including, but not limited to:

- Preparing practice planning & court coaching (running drills)
- Scouting and recruiting prospective student-athletes to build a competitive team both nationally and internationally
- Managing the budget, awarding scholarships and working with Development to raise funds
- In conjunction with strength staff, developing training and conditioning program
- Working within university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations required. 
- Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating coaches and other staff.
- Communicating with media, alumni, and friends of the University
- Serving as a mentor to student-athletes helping them develop academically, physically and socially
- Perform other duties as assigned. 

College & Professional playing and/or coaching experience with foreign language skills preferred.  Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and rules, ability to effectively interact with coaches, student-athletes, faculty, staff, students, and general public, excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work within university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations required.   

Applicants must possess or be able to obtain current First Aid/AED/CPR certifications. 

Some nights and weekends are required. Travel is required.
