Facilities Specialist Supervisor
The University of Evansville is seeking a dedicated Facilities Specialist Supervisor to oversee facility maintenance, event setups, and contractor management across campus. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of campus events, facility upkeep, and vendor contracts, supporting the University’s commitment to excellence in campus operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Leadership – Manage and oversee Building Services staff, event crews, and contractors, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion of work.
- Facilities & Maintenance Oversight – Monitor facilities for repairs, maintenance needs, and event-related setups, prioritizing work orders and coordinating with University personnel.
- Event & Contractor Management – Schedule and supervise event staff, equipment setups, and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with safety standards and ADA regulations.
- Lease Agreement Administration – Manage and monitor lease agreements for University-owned residential properties.
- Safety & Compliance – Ensure all work follows federal, state, and local safety codes and regulations, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of work order planning, scheduling systems, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local safety codes, including ADA requirements.
- Strong supervisory, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage budgets.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and facility projects.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and drive as part of daily supervision duties.
