Thanksgiving Break

Students remaining on campus during Thanksgiving break are reminded to keep doors locked and carry their keys between Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

If you need assistance during the break, please contact the Office of Public Safety at 812-488-2051. The Office of Residence Life will be closed from 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 through Sunday, December 1, 2024. On-Call Residence Life staff can be contacted through Public Safety during this time.

Registering to stay during Thanksgiving Break

You can stay, but we ask that you let us know in case there are any emergencies.

To request to stay on campus during Thanksgiving Break, submit the “Thanksgiving Break Housing Request” form in your eRezLife portal.

Campus Dining

The last meal before break is Tuesday, November 26, 2024 for dinner in The Eatery. The first meal after Thanksgiving Break is Sunday, December 1, 2024 for dinner in The Eatery.

Aces Haven

Open over Break 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. via the back entrance to Neu Chapel. (Public Safety can assist with access). Pick up some essentials if needed.
The Eatery To-Go Containers & Rotisserie Chickens Pick up a To-Go container in Ridgway and stock it with an extra Meal to be eaten over the Break.
There will also be several rotisserie chickens available for a meal swipe in the Warmer in Aces Place.

There are also establishments like the establishment in Lincoln Commons, Honeymoon, The Slice, Lincoln Garden, Subway, and the University Food Mart at the Marathon station across the street are all within walking distance.

Safety Tips during Thanksgiving Break

  • Take home valuables to guard against unforeseen damage or theft
  • Report security issues (such as doors or windows that don’t lock) to the Physical Plant well before break, so they can be fixed prior to your departure.
