Assistant Professor of Spanish
The University of Evansville announces a tenure-track appointment in Spanish beginning August 2010. We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic professional willing to assist in developing an innovative, future-oriented curriculum. The successful candidate will be a Spanish Linguistics Specialist with strength in Latin American Studies or a Latin American Specialist with strength in Linguistics. Ability to teach all levels of language, as well as linguistics, civilization, literature, culture, and language for the professions is preferred. Participation in the World Cultures first-year humanities sequence is expected.
Requirements include a PhD in hand by August 2010, native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, evidence of superior language teaching in a proficiency-based environment, and an active scholarly agenda. Assistant Professor of Sociology
The University of Evansville announces a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology appointment within an interdisciplinary social sciences department, starting August 1, 2010. Position requires ability to teach a wide range of classes in an undergraduate sociology major that offers concentrations in general sociology, criminal justice, anthropology, pre-professional social work, gerontology, and gender studies. Preference given to candidates prepared to teach introduction to aging, sociology of medicine, criminal justice, or policy courses.

Assistant Professor - School of Education
The University of Evansville School of Education invites applications for a 10-month tenure-track, assistant professor to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in assessment, instructional models, and research. The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in education and have recent and relevant experience in K-12 settings. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in graduate level higher education and/or experience coordinating educational programs. Desired qualifications include college teaching experience, an established agenda of scholarship and grant procurement, and experience in diverse school settings. Responsibilities include teaching, supervising field experiences, advising, conducting research, and providing service to the School of Education, the University, and the profession. This position begins fall 2010.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics
The University of Evansville's Schroeder Family School of Business Administration invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics beginning fall 2010. The Schroeder Family School of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International.
This position will have responsibility for teaching required and elective courses in the economics area. Strong teaching interests in economics with secondary interests in finance/international are preferred. Knowledge of global business applications and experience is a strong plus. We are seeking applicants with a Ph.D. in economics; however, ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered. Ideal candidates would have a record of teaching experience and demonstrated research potential in the economics area.

The University of Evansville's Schroeder Family School of Business Administration invites applications for a tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning fall 2010. The position is a new faculty position. An earned doctorate, preferably in business administration with a specialization in accounting from an AACSB International accredited program is required. ABD applicants will be considered with the expectation that degree requirements will be completed prior to August 2010. A record of teaching and scholarly or creative activity would be required to merit appointment at the rank of associate professor. In addition, professional work experience and CPA licensure is highly desirable. Knowledge of global business applications is a plus.
A tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant/Associate Professor level will have responsibility for teaching required and elective courses in the accounting area. Strong teaching interests in accounting with secondary interest in finance are preferred. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the position will require that the faulty member engage in scholarly activities leading to the publication of research in refereed journals. Faculty members are expected to participate in service activities to support the University's mission.

Professional experience in advertising is highly desired. Assistant Professor - Physical Therapy
The University of Evansville has a tenure track physical therapy faculty appointment available beginning January 4, 2010. Expertise and experience in neuromuscular physical therapy, administration issues, and/or ethics is preferred. Requirements for the position include a terminal academic doctoral degree from an accredited institution, three years of clinical experience, and eligibility for Indiana physical therapy licensure. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, scholarship, and service to the University, community, and profession. Individuals will have the opportunity to participate in clinical practice and collaborative research in the Dunigan Movement Analysis Laboratory if desired.
