Assistant Professor - Physical Therapy
The University of Evansville has a tenure track physical therapy faculty appointment available beginning January 4, 2010. Expertise and experience in neuromuscular physical therapy, administration issues, and/or ethics is preferred. Requirements for the position include a terminal academic doctoral degree from an accredited institution, three years of clinical experience, and eligibility for Indiana physical therapy licensure. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, scholarship, and service to the University, community, and profession. Individuals will have the opportunity to participate in clinical practice and collaborative research in the Dunigan Movement Analysis Laboratory if desired.

External Affairs Intern (Ticketing/Marketing/Event Operations)
The Department of Athletics has two positions open for External Affairs Intern. These positions begin on August 2, 2009 and the internship end date is May 31, 2010.
These are full-time administrative positions with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, assistance with the overall ticket operations with significant involvement in men's & women's basketball; including season, group and single game sales. Serve on a variety of ticket committees. Assist in all marketing & promotional efforts of designated sports including pre-season marketing, in-game marketing/promotions and overall implementation of a student marketing plan for all sports. Assist in game/event operations for designated sports with significant involvement in men's and women's basketball to include the following: script writing, scheduling of event workers, coordinating promotional events, venue set-up & breakdown and overall game presentation. Assist with special events and projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Associate Director of Athletics. This position is directly supervised by the Associate AD for External Affairs and will work on a daily basis with the Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs and the Director of Ticket Operations.
A Bachelor's Degree is required. Prior athletic game/event experience is desired, particularly at the collegiate level.

Intern: Sports Information
The Department of Athletics has an internship opportunity in Sports Information. This is a full-time administrative position that begins on August 3, 2009 and ends May 31, 2010. Responsibilities include serving as the primary SID contact for softball, swimming & diving, volleyball and tennis. Experience with StatCrew in-game scoring programs is preferred, and strong writing skills and personal communications skills are important. Graphic design background using Quark and/or InDesign is preferred. Duties include design of media guides, writing game stories and handling statistical duties at home contests (will include some travel); coordinate promotional appearances for coaches and student-athletes on local TV and radio; assist in maintaining website; assist with men's and women's basketball game-day SID operations. This position is directly supervised by the Sports Information Director.
A Bachelor's Degree is required. Experience in athletic game/event experience is desirable, particularly at the collegiate level.

Head Men's/Women's Dive Coach
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation of practice program for divers, meet day duties, weekend travel to and from meets, and recruiting and administrative tasks as assigned by the Head Swim Coach.
A Bachelor's Degree is required. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni and the University of Evansville community and staff. The ability to work within university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations is essential.

Director of Smokefree Communities
The position of Director of Smokefree Communities will begin on July 1, 2009. This position is grant funded through Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (ITPC). The position will be funded for two years with the opportunity for extension.
The Director of Smokefree Communities is responsible for budget management, project management; development, implementation, and accomplishment of grant initiatives and goals; development of smoke-free policies in Vanderburgh County. There will be some travel to Indianapolis for meetings. This full-time administrative position reports directly to the Associate VP for Academic Affairs as well as ITPC Regional Coordinator.
A Master's Degree is required, as well as 3 — 5 years project management and supervisory experience.

Major Gifts Officer
The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for an assigned group of prospects; identification and qualification of new prospects; serving as manager for assigned fundraising projects; and serving as a principal contact for the Department of Athletics. The Major Gifts Officer reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Responsibilities include:
- Establish and maintain relationships with an active prospect list of 225-250 individuals focusing primarily on gifts of $10,000 and above.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for assigned major gift prospects.
- Serve as the primary development office liaison for the Department of Athletics to identify major gifts prospects, develop appropriate strategies, and develop initiatives and priority needs.
- Assist the Director of Athletics in the cultivation and solicitation of his/her portfolio of major gift prospects.
- Prepare donor proposals and Deeds of Gifts, as necessary.
- Create and file contact reports, in accordance with office policy, to track moves with assigned prospects.
- Identify and develop plans for new fundraising initiatives.
- Attend departmental, college and university alumni and development functions as appropriate.
- Serve on departmental and university committees as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
An undergraduate degree is required and a master's degree is preferred. Three to five years of fundraising or sales experience is necessary.

Head Softball Coach
The Head Baseball Coach is responsible for carrying out coaching and administrative duties for the baseball program including, but not limited to: practice preparation, scouting, budget, compliance with NCAA and MVC rules and recruiting. A Bachelor's Degree is required; three years of experience in coaching highly competitive baseball, preferably at the Division I level.

Administrative Assistant for Department of Communication
This is a part time position working 20 hours/week providing administrative support for the Department of Communication. This position will assist with various administrative and clerical tasks, including:
- Process all purchase orders and invoices.
- Download and reconcile budgets.
- Complete inventory and Publication Requests.
- Reconcile and manage PCard.
- Manage Internship and Advising Documentation.
- Help maintain and monitor distribution of department audio/video equipment.
- Process correspondence, communications, and paperwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for this position include word processing, PC and calculator skills. Other requirements are excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
One to three years experience in office management is desired. Previous experience in an academic setting and previous work with computerized databases and electronic scheduling are desired.
This position begins on August 21, 2009 and is a year-round part-time position working 20 hours per week. This position is not benefit eligible.

Campus HVAC Technician
This is a full-time position in the Physical Plant Department. Job responsibilities include:
- Installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment in campus facilities.
- General facility maintenance/service provider during alternate weekend shift turns.
- Maintain, repair and install food service freezers, refrigerators, ice machine and coolers.
- Install/maintain electrical and pneumatic control systems associated with HVAC equipment, including DDC building controls.
- Size, fabricate and install ductwork.
- Provide guidance and diagnostic assistance to other maintenance personnel (relative to routine operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment).
EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification and a valid driver's license are required, as well as three years HVAC service experience. Journeyman experience of five years is desired.
