The University of Evansville ASCE chapter’s mission is to motivate and instill a passion for and understanding of civil engineering throughout our community.

The University of Evansville ASCE chapter strives to be active in the community by sponsoring the annual Balsa Wood Bridge competition that is organized entirely by UE ASCE members. The competition shows younger area students just how much fun civil engineering can be while giving them a chance to compete with others to build the strongest bridge. We are always looking for other ways to interact with the community, so any suggestions or opportunities would be greatly appreciated!

Our chapter is also now a part of ASCE Region 4 and competes in the Indiana-Kentucky Symposium in various events.
