The Novice Teacher Induction and Mentoring Program aims to improve the performance and retention of new hires and to enhance their skills and prevent the loss of new teachers. The ultimate goal is improved student/teacher growth and learning.

The School of Education proposes to provide institutional support through continued mentoring of University of Evansville School of Education graduates through their first three years of teaching.

A collaborative effort with local school corporations will encourage UE graduates to remain in the teaching profession by supporting teachers through their first three years of teaching.
