Scholarships for PhD Degree in Health Professions Education

UE merit-based scholarships are not available to students pursuing the PhD Degree in Health Professions Education program.

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov for the appropriate academic year including UE's school code ( 001795) to establish eligibility for graduate-level federal loans. For this program, answer the following FAFSA questions as shown.

When the student begins the school year, what will their college grade level be? Master’s, doctorate, or graduate certificate program
When the student begins the school year, will they already have their first bachelor's degree? Yes

The following loans are available to students in this program:

  • Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan (requires half-time enrollment; 5+ hours per semester)
  • Federal Graduate PLUS Loan*
    • *provided a federal loan is borrowed for this program prior to July 1, 2026; requires half-time enrollment
  • Private Educational Loan (enrollment requirements vary be lender)
