Department Chair of Physician Assistant Science
The University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana, invites applications for the position of founding department chair of a new Physician Assistant program. In the first year, major responsibilities include designing the Physician Assistant curriculum, preparing for the ARC-PA accreditation visit, developing clinical affiliations, and recruiting faculty for the program. The department chair will be responsible for overall direction of the physician assistant program including budgeting, ongoing curriculum development and revision, faculty development and evaluation, and program assessment.
Candidates must either be a physician assistant with a master's degree and current NCCPA certification, or an MD or DO with state licensure and certification by an ABMS or AOA approved specialty board. Academic experience and leadership plus experience with ARC-PA accreditation are desired.
