Orientation

Welcome Week

Welcomers

Welcome Week is a program coordinated by a group of energetic students called orientation leaders (OL's) who want your first week at the University to be exciting and fun. This program includes concerts, food, volunteer opportunities, games, and much more. All new students arrive at the university four days before classes begin for this fun-filled event. Students will be divided into small groups identified by their First Year Seminar (FYS) class and will be assigned to an OL. The OL will guide students through the transition into college. This program is required for all entering freshmen. Students will be mailed more detailed information about Welcome Week in late July.

Welcome Week Registration

All incoming freshmen students must register for Welcome Week between 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Registration will be in the Memorial Plaza (rain location will be the Ridgway University Center). At that time, you will receive important materials needed for Welcome Week including schedules, meal tickets, and so forth.

Opening Session

This session will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Student Fitness Center. This is a mandatory program for all new students.
