PhD, University Of Florida, Construction Management

Dr. Hyunsoung Park is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Evansville. Dr. Hyunsoung Park received a BS in Architectural Engineering from Hongik University in South Korea, a MS in Construction Management from Texas A&M, and most recently his PhD in Construction Management from the University of Florida. Dr. Park has industry experience as a Project Manager for Hyundai and as an Air Force Sergeant in the Republic of Korea Air Force, serving on the Civil Engineering Squadron. He spent time instructing students during both his masters and doctoral programs. His current research areas include building information modeling, construction safety, natural disaster management, and knowledge, information, and data management.

Dr. Park’s favorite thing about the University of Evansville is that regardless of position or status, people think of each other, care for one another, and try to help each other. In his personal time, Dr. Park enjoys traveling. He’s lived in the US for over 8 years and is looking forward to exploring the Midwest.

Professor Stamps is professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Evansville. He was recognized for his efforts as a teacher by winning the Outstanding Teacher Award for 2004 from the Illinois/Indiana Section of the ASEE. He has been a faculty member at UE since 1995.

Dr. Megan Voss-Warner is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Evansville. She joined the University of Evansville in 2022 after receiving her PhD from the University of Florida. She is one of the faculty advisers for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Dr. Voss is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) where she serves on multiple international subcommittees related to education.

Unger's Full Biography

Dr. Unger is the author of the textbook, Analytical Fracture Mechanics, which was originally published in hard cover by Academic Press (1995), and later reprinted in paperback form by Dover Publications in 2001 and again in 2011. He was awarded the Sadelle and Sydney Berger Award for scholarly activity by the University of Evansville in 2005, the Dean's Teaching Award in the School of Engineering and Computer Science in 2006, the Dean’s Research Award in 2022, and designated a UE Global Scholar in 2007. He was a professionally licensed engineer for twenty years, and has served on the UE faculty for 21 years. In retirement, Dr. Unger continues to do research and publish technical papers.
