After Graduation

Whether our students aim for graduate school or immediately enter the workforce, UE's Department of Languages and Cultures in conjunction with the UE Center for Career Development ensures they are prepared to succeed after graduation.

Many of our graduates have lived abroad after graduation:

UE alumni enjoy successful careers in diverse fields that include:

  • Criminal Justice
  • The US Embassy in Mexico
  • Bilingual Translations
  • TV and radio
  • Marketing, advertising, or sales
  • Foreign language teaching in secondary education

Our majors have also succeeded in graduate school.

For the past decade, our department boasts a 100 percent placement rate of alumni who apply to graduate schools in diverse fields (linguistics, literature, psychology, peace studies, international studies, economics) in the US and abroad.
