Physical Therapy

At UE, Doctor of Physical Therapy students complete 1200 hours of full-time, in-the-clinic experience.

Ace CARE is a pro bono physical therapy clinic run by University of Evansville DPT students. Patients who are uninsured have the opportunity to receive physical therapy services on the University of Evansville campus. Binding the educational experience of physical therapy students with the growing need for such services in our community, Ace CARE is an opportunity for DPT students to expand their social awareness and professional skills. Student therapists treat patients under the supervision of local physical therapists who volunteer their time and expertise to make a difference in our community.

How to Get Involved With Ace CARE

Donate 3-4 hours per month to work with DPT students and oversee patient treatment. All participants (PTs and students) must acquire their own personal liability insurance. Liability insurance can be purchased from Healthcare Providers Service Organization which is endorsed by the APTA. More information available at: Financial assistance for purchasing liability insurance may be available.

Spread the word about Ace CARE to anyone else in our profession who might be interested in making a difference in the community and contributing to the education of University of Evansville Physical Therapy students. If you have any questions about this program, please contact Samantha Minnette at
